This site sets no cookies

Last updated on

The site sets no cookies, and writes nothing else to your browser either. This page states why, and why that does not call for your consent. It is short because there is little to say.

1. No cookies

No measurement cookie, no advertising cookie, no session cookie. The site sets none, of any kind, at any time.

No third-party service is loaded from your pages: no remote web font, no map, no external video player, no social network button liable to set a cookie without your knowledge. Fonts, images and video are served by the site itself.

2. What is written to your browser

Nothing. No session storage, no local storage, no local database. The site writes no item to your browser and reads none.

The opening screen, on which the logo draws itself, has nothing to remember about your visits: it plays only when it has some loading to cover, and steps aside unseen when the page is already there. The loading under way decides, never the memory of a past one.

3. Audience measurement

Audience measurement works without cookies and without a persistent identifier. It is described in detail in the privacy policy, section 2.1.

In short: no IP address is recorded, the session identifier is a hash that changes every day, and no data leaves the company’s infrastructure.

4. Why no banner appears

Article 82 of the French Data Protection Act subjects any reading from or writing to a user’s terminal to prior consent, with two exceptions: operations strictly necessary to provide the service, and audience measurement meeting the conditions set by the CNIL.

The site does not even need the first one:

  1. No writing to or reading from your terminal takes place, beyond the browser’s own caching of the site’s files.
  2. Audience measurement sets nothing, tracks nobody across sites, and serves only to produce anonymous statistics for the publisher.

A consent banner would therefore be pointless: it would ask your agreement for a placement that does not occur.

5. Erasing what was written

There is nothing to erase.

You can check without taking our word for it: your browser’s developer tools, under the Storage or Application tab, show an empty list for this site. Your browser setting that blocks local storage has no effect here, since the site does not use it.
